"What am I to do? What am I to believe? What am I supposed to live for, now that everyone and everything is gone?" Irazehl muttered to himself as tears streamed down his face, shining in the moonlight. He stood at the foot of his parents grave, with Ihkilyu crouching at his side. Ihkilyu looked away when he talked. "Move forward. As long as we still have our minds and bodies, all is not lost." Ihkilyu replied, "We must pray to father Arthanica to help us in the days ahead." Though his words were strong, he continued to look away to keep from revealing his own emotions. "He hath forsaken us." Irazehl replied coldly. "He didn't create this. Evil did." Ihkilyu turned and walked away. "Well then, we make war on evil. Where are you going?" "Violence begets violence. I will have my vengeance. You may stay." Ihkilyu vanished. "You are the most foolish wise man I know, brother."
Ihkilyu moved through the forest with great speed and grace. He seemed to glide along the ground noiselessly, and with ease. He didn't fear the beasts of the forest, the big ones were easy to avoid, and the small ones had grown to fear him instead. He was just as much at home in these woods as they were. He stopped outside the city limits of Anral. It was time to create a plan. "What exactly do I want to acheive?" Ihkilyu thought to himself. "Freshly laid plans don't fall far from the nest." He needed to put some more thought into this. He had to live in the trees for a while.
